Electro Tech House Music "Electronica" by Lars Schneemann

Starting off with a bit of a tribal flavour Lars Schneemann really takes you with the heavy bass of Caper. What's next to come is a purely original sound and we have to say the standout track of Electronica - Girls in Hats by The Loose Cannons. But things stay interesting especially with Schneemann's own Jewels - simply another dimension of electro tech house music that we haven't seen before. Some other tracks that really stood out for us include the rumbling bass of I'm With You and the funkiness of Like Dis. Lars Schneemann may just as well be one of the most unique dj's we've encountered on thefreshpage.com!

Break Beat Music "What's Your Funktion?" by DJ Soma

DJ Soma masterfully mixes together a wicked break beat compilation sure to please any beat junkie. What's Your Funktion speaks in full magnitude right from the start with Missy Elliot's We Run This mixed seamlessly into Scattermish's Buck Done Kryptonite. Things get really hairy when Stanton Warrior's Who's Afraid of Detroit kicks in and this level of magnitude stays real especially when Control the Night takes control of your deepest desires. And if you're hair wasn't standing on end yet, the next track will get it fully rigid - Martini Bros Stoopit has synths which strike those hairs like piano strings that haven't been touched in years. Damn...we can go on and on but this review is getting too long...you just have to listen to the rest for yourself! DJ Soma where have you been???? This set blew us away!

TheFreshpage Sessions Volume 2: Delicious by Dman

TheFreshpage Sessions Volume 2 by DJ Dman

We liked Dman's previous sets so much we asked him to provide us with an exclusive set for our second volume of TheFreshpage.com Sessions. Co-titled Delicious Dman does not disappoint, in fact he exceeded all our expectations with this funky electrofied delicious set that will be playing in our office for a good time to come.

Right off the bat Dman gets your attention with a sexy remix of Proper Education and then injects a full force musical extravaganza with A Bit Sketchy. What's next to come is something like that of the first MTV generation with 80's flavour Way To Go. Did you get your leg warmers on yet? If not you're going to need them to keep up with the up beat electro synths and deep basslines all the way leading to Funky Country. From here on end a progressive feel is brought in with Late Night Worries featuring the delectable vocals of Andy P. And then one of those tracks that leaves tingles all the way down your spine All Alone, the beats are just unreal! Dman takes it down a notch and eases this set out with the mish-mashed sounds of Always Something Better. You made us proud Dman, TheFreshpage Sessions Volume 2 is absolutely Delicious!

Electro House Music "High Standards" by Lazy Rich

UK incomer, Lazy Rich supplies a kinetic mixtape Introduced by the aussie boys Hook and Sling and Kid Kenobi with The Bump. This grind of a set travels nicely through one end to the other of electro. There's enough bass to last with tracks like Sos by Stonebridge and Cassius-esc Get Lost by DJ Marbrax and dig the rave injection through Volta's Robot Needs Oil. Finally two thirds the way through, the energy falters and we get a break from the crunching basslines until Blue Sky with Da'Others. I'm sure the punters will be very tired after this one...

Funky Electro Breaks Set "Silicone System" by Nima

Once again Nima takes a step into a territory of his own. Silicone System starts of with Insatiable and this track perfectly describes this set. Funky basslines which really take you to the next level with the next track Stoopit - what a wicked ass track! From here on end there is a more electro dub sound feel but the funky bass kicks in again with Afterhours and the bmps are taken right down to The End Of it All. Good on ya Nima for taking a step out of the norm and trying something new!

Progressive Trance set "Home" by DJ Eric Hiebert

Home is a set that Eric Hiebert really wanted to be true to what he plays, and it shows. This progressive trance compilation starts with the unique sounds of the track Les Djinns whose exotic sounds transport you to a small mideastern village where sunsets drop into the sand dunes. But as you blink and open your eyes the music takes you to a field in England with thousands of partiers shaking it in slow motion. And this is what we call Home, a place where you can party comfortably into the morning hours!

Electro House Music "E is for Electro" by DJ Leave

E is for Electro is textbook for the electro sound sweeping the world over and as far as DJ Leave's hometown - Romania! Aggressive synths and 80's sounding sound fx culminate to the retro People Are Still Having Sex. At this point the progressive sound is injected especially with the following track by Deep Dish - We Gona Feel It. The latter part of this compilation is balanced out perfectly to the sound of the first half.

Banging House Set "Disco Shit" by Dylan Kennedy

Dylan Kennedy takes us into a world where house music prevails above all and he does this smoothly right off the first track - Sugar. An electro edge is injected slowly and leads to banging beats which get deeper and heavier and finally culminates in an orgasm of Disco Shit! The simplicity of this track really allows you to enjoy this climax which is mixed incredibly well into the next track Young and Beautiful. Yum, we love it when a DJ knows how to mix so flawlessly that you wouldn't even bare to notice it at a party! And this set only gets funkier, and more memorable near the end.
